This photograph was taken from inside the railway tunnel near the Tongshan colliery No.1 shaft. The silhouetted photograph of a locomotive approaching the tunnel is probably 0-6-0 saddle tank locomotive No. 12 supplied to the KMA (Kailan Mining Administration). The locomotive, built by Hudswell Clarke of Leeds in 1900 carried a "Chin-Wang-Tao" name plate attached to the side of the water tank. (A3/30)
