A group of Europeans standing on the rear entrance of a First Class buffet car. The figure in a white tropical suit and pith helmet is almost certainly Claude Kinder, although the dark glasses make positive identification impossible. The other persons in this group are believed to be members of an American Congress visit to China as part of the “World's Transportation Commission” in 1894-1896. (A3/26)
