This notice board was displayed at Peking station during the occupation of Peking by the international allies during the “Boxer” uprising. For the two years of foreign military occupation, the railway was operated by a joint allied military railway unit which in its later stages was designated as the "BRA" British Railway Administration.(A2/54)
