Description: 
Steel rails and locomotive wheels being unloaded from a ship for transfer to Tongshan. The wheels appear similar to those used on the American Grant tank locomotive  (see P27/169 &170) delivered in 1886. Most of the heavy equipment for the railway and mine were unloaded on the coast at the river mouth of the “Changho”, aka “Chien Ho”  ( 澗河 s: 涧河 Jianhe and then shipped up the only partially navigable river to near Tongshan. c.1886 (A8/12.  Also see The Far Eastern Economic Review April 1910, p508)
