This is a chart of the Southeastern part of Asia, extending from Ceylon and the Bay of Bengal to Australia (New Holland), Palau, the Philippines and Taiwan (Formosa). The map shows a number of routes of different explorers in the region, along with numerous annotations regarding new discoveries and observations.
Title inside scroll work cartouche. There is a 32-point compass rose in the middle of the map with a fleur-de-lis indicating north.
