This is a manuscript map depicting the Great Wall of China and its surrounding areas. The Wall starts on the Gobi Desert and is interrupted on two points by a river, there is a small intersection near Beijing (Pekin) and ends in the Bohai Gulf. Beijing is marked with a castle and other major cities are also marked with building stylizations. The Gobi desert is depicted only with mountain ranges. The bottom part of the map is nearly blank only with the location of 8 major cities.
