Note:
This map seems to be published by Fr. Graça of the Macao Jesuit mission for it seems this mission was territorially coexistent with the diocese. The Portuguese bishop of Macao has a right to all the Guangzhou province and Hainan island as though why they are present on the map. Also on Malacca and Singapore there are one or two parishes belonging to the Macao diocese. On the Malacca map there is an inset with a general map with the South of China, the Indochina and Malay Peninsula, Borneo, the Philippines, Java and Timor. On the Timor map there is an inset of a Plan of Macao with 15 toponyms of mostly churches and fortresses but it also includes the Hospital of St. Raphael, the Military Hospital, the Leal Senado, the Government Palace and the cave of Camões.
