This plan is mainly a navigational guide of the Pearl River, between Macao and Canton -Guangzhou. Macao is at the right bottom corner with all the fortresses marked and identified just as many other on the trip up the river. Some Pagodas are also marked, some with its name and others just marked 'torre' -tower. Underneath the title there is a large note with information about the making of the map. The author started to collect information since 1787 in all his trips to Canton, that in 1792 were already nine. He says the plan may not be the most correct one for all measurements were made on board; for westerners were not on land for long periods of time. And so he admits that the voyage is not possible only by consulting this plan.
