Note:
The boundaries of provinces and countries are distinguished by coloured lines on the map. Except from the incorrectly interchanged positions of Sichuan and Guizhou, the corresponding positions and contours of other provinces are closer to reality than that in the previous versions of the maps, especially for Yunnan which was drawn in the correct position. Taiwan Island was drawn as a complete island, rather than three separate islands as on various maps in the past.Macau is denoted by the symbol drawn on an island in the middle of the Pearl River estuary. To the Right of the symbol follows the earlier name that Portuguese called, Amacao(Macao),the proununciation of which is corresponding woth that of the Chinese name “A-Ma Port ”(阿媽港). The land in the northeast Macau was marked with Lampacao which was one of the former anchorages for European vessels before Macau became a commercial port, it was the ancient name of an island west of Macau.
